Since the release of his debut album in 1983, ZUCCHERO has put Italy on the world music map, particularly as a result of his collaborations with luminaries from the world of rock, jazz, blues, pop and opera. Throughout his career, his own solo work and that with other artists has brought ZUCCHERO critical acclaim. A favourite with musicians and public alike, Senza Una Donna with Paul Young topped the charts around the world and songs such as Wonderful World, a unique duet with Eric Clapton, Muoio Per Te (Mad About You) with Sting, and a magical duet with Luciano Pavrotti of Miserere have made ZUCCHERO one of the most popular performers on the world stage. From being the first rock artist to perform at The Kremlin in Moscow; performing in Germany with The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra; being the only European artist to perform at the second Woodstock Festival appearing with Bono who wrote the lyrics for ZUCCHERO’s song Blue, to his most recent major performance with Queen and Beyonce as part of the 46664 Nelson Mandela concert in South Africa on 29th November 2003 ZUCCHERO’s live shows are legendary. ZUCCHERO’s first collaboration was with the legendary Miles Davis and the previously unheard song Dune Mosse is featured on ZU and Co.. This meeting was followed by an introduction to Eric Clapton who invited ZUCCHERO to appear with him on several of his shows at the Royal Albert Hall which brought him to the attention of many of the world’s top performers and the collaborations continued.
